The Five Projects that “Conquer the Sun” in the New Edition of SOLES DE MÁLAGA

Fundación El Pimpi has revealed the five projects selected for the 7th edition of Soles de Málaga 2026, a call that mobilizes the entire province every year and that, under the inspiring motto “Conquer the Sun,” invites organizations to dream big and promote initiatives capable of transforming the lives of thousands of people.

In this edition, the Foundation will allocate 100,000€ to support the five entities best rated by an expert jury. All of them work in priority areas for Málaga’s social well-being: childhood and youth, vulnerable families, community health, social inclusion, accessibility and care, inclusive training and employment, and social emergencies.

The selected projects create a diverse, real and deeply necessary map of impact across our province.

The five projects that will shine in 2026 are:

1. Nuevo Futuro Málaga – Impulsa+ Program

Areas: Childhood and youth · Inclusive training and employment
Beneficiaries: 48 minors aged 6 to 17

For decades, Nuevo Futuro has guaranteed safety, affection, and stability to minors without a family home. With Impulsa+, the organization strengthens its commitment to their future through individualized academic support, digital skills training, and talent-discovery activities. A project that reduces the educational and digital gap while boosting the self-esteem of the children living in its six foster homes.

2. Betania – 72 Hours of Hope

Area: Social emergencies
Beneficiaries: 150 direct | 600 indirect

Betania is launching an urgent response resource for people suddenly facing extreme situations: eviction, violence, food crisis or finding themselves homeless. Their approach combines 24/7 assistance, basic emergency kits, and psychosocial support during the crucial first 72 hours. Immediate help that restores dignity and security to those who need it most.

3. Prolibertas – Casa Jacaranda

Area: Social and community inclusion
Beneficiaries: 15 incarcerated or formerly incarcerated women

A project that restores opportunities. Casa Jacaranda offers shared housing, social support, and administrative and employment assistance for women leaving prison without a support network. Its goal: fostering autonomy, reducing recidivism, and helping rebuild lives with dignity and new possibilities.

4. AFESOL – Residential Resource for People with Mental Illness

Area: Community health and well-being
Beneficiaries: 20–24 people per year

AFESOL will create the first temporary residential resource for people with severe mental illness in Málaga’s Mental Health Area II, located in Mijas. Inspired by the innovative Soteria House model, it will provide a safe environment, psychosocial support, and personal autonomy training. A space designed to prevent crises, reduce hospital admissions, and promote social inclusion.

5. Asociación ALAS – Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse in Schools

Area: Childhood and youth
Beneficiaries: 80 schools (48,000–56,000 people)

Asociación ALAS will train teachers and school counselors in detecting, responding to, and preventing child sexual abuse—addressing an urgent need within educational settings. Their mission is clear: to create safe, well-prepared, and protective schools for thousands of children and adolescents across the province.

A Solidarity Festival that Málaga Feels as Its Own

The 7th edition of the Soles de Málaga festival will take place in spring 2026, once again in the Plaza de Toros de La Malagueta. Thousands of people will gather to celebrate, support, and highlight the work of Málaga’s social organizations.

But Soles de Málaga is much more than an event: it is a citizen movement, a way of understanding solidarity as a shared celebration that unites institutions, companies, organizations, and the entire city.
