Gastronomy can open doors to new professional opportunities. With this in mind, Fundación El Pimpi, through its Cantera project, is launching a new Rice Masterclass in Málaga, a free training programme designed for people in vulnerable situations who want to develop their culinary skills and improve their employment prospects.
Applications are open until 30 October, and the course will take place from 3 to 27 November 2026.
Rice is an essential ingredient in Spanish gastronomy, but preparing the perfect rice dish involves much more than simply following a recipe.
Throughout this free culinary training programme, participants will learn about different rice varieties, cooking techniques, timing and flavour combinations, developing the skills needed to prepare rice dishes in a professional kitchen.
The course offers an intensive, hands-on approach, helping students gain practical knowledge and confidence in their culinary abilities.
This initiative is part of Cantera, a project developed by Fundación El Pimpi to promote social inclusion and employment opportunities through culinary education.
Through specialised training programmes, Cantera supports people in vulnerable situations by helping them develop professional skills and explore career opportunities in the hospitality industry.
The Rice Masterclass reflects Fundación El Pimpi’s ongoing commitment to supporting local talent and creating new opportunities through gastronomy.
